JL Rayne is an illustrator and traditional artist currently located in San Antonio, Tx. She has been a self taught artist since a very young age and continues to hone her skills daily. She is currently a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force and feeds her creativity daily. After her time in Kadena Air base, Okinawa, Japan and Bagram Air Force Base, she rekindled her love of the arts and began drawing as a stress reliever from her daily military tasks. One day, she aspires to be a full time artist after fulfilling her commitment to the military.
She specializes in exploring the female form and enjoys experimenting with new themes and challenges into her pieces. She is inspired by the odd beauties that she believes are under-appreciated in society.
She enjoys creating youtube videos that describe her process and inspiration for each piece. She enjoys teaching others tips and tricks to improving their art. Soon, she plans on creating “How-To” books for the basics of drawing and composition. When not working on major projects, she is usually indulging on hopeless romantic comedies reading poetry or enjoying the outdoors with her pomeranian, Biggie and spending quality time with her boyfriend, Nick.
JL loves to explore craft beers, swimming, cute japanese animal characters, colorful stationary and anything pink or teal.
